Perfunctory Posting
Small bit of Banality below fold.
2024 did not end before someone backed into my car a punched a hole in it. However, we can take some solace from the fact that the year has now been taken out back, skinned alive, rolled in salt and dipped in iodine.
As both compensation and as reader trauma reduction here is a celebration of current year.
I've survived the Christmas rush and am now cleaning up the house that has been left essentially neglected for the last 90 days. In the days immediately after Christmas, I slept as long as 14 hours. I FINALLY got a cold just as my week off began. I was able to get the car in the body shop Friday. I am a pedestrian for the next few days, however, the car is not going to be ready today as predicted, so, if it's not ready in a day or two I'll get a rental. I got gell injections in my knees the other day, and while I'm still a bit wobbly. I'm not in the pain I was over Christmas.
I see the surgeon in a few days to find out if kidney surgery can be avoided. I was heartened by the news that it might not actually be necessary and a less cutty option may suffice. Finger are crossed.
Anyway, I'm mostly recovered and trying to catch up on the chaos and detritus left over the holidays.
May everyone take comfort in the passing of 2024 and have a very happy and prosperous 2025!
