It's Over
Christmas is vanquished.
Art by Itou.
I hope everyone, whatever holiday you are celebrating, has a peaceful and happy celebration.
I have never, in 28 years, seen anything, like this past Christmas. Between, Over the top numbers of online orders, Christmas on top of that, survival supplies and ammunition, and finally a tsunami of vaccines, we just didn't get a break.
I did something this morning I had not done in 28 years. I called in on Christmas Eve. Actually, I left early, which is bad because doing so on Christmas eve forfeits one's holiday pay. My rotator cuff injury from June has been acting up for a week, I have two kidney stones on their way and combined with back strain, this morning, it took 15 minutes to put on my work boots.
I came home took that muscle relaxant they prescribed me in June and slept for 12 hours...which is why I never take it. I'll be returning to the sweet embrace of the bed in a few minutes.
Because so many people at work have been visited by Coronachan, I don't feel comfortable visiting my folks, I have 2 weeks off though and will see them at the end of that time.
For now though, it's over!
Well...at least until those Amazon gift cards star getting used.....AIEEE!

People appreciate you more than you know.
Might want to check out the "Bob and Brad" channel on YouTube, etc. They're physical therapists from MN who belong to a school of thought that patients should learn simple exercises and practices to do at home, that will relieve pain and help muscle strain. (Obviously I should have brought this up earlier....) They have stuff about rotator cuffs.
