Cardboard Tsunami
Banality lies below the fold.
Well. It is THAT time of year.
As compensation here is a stark-raving-cuckoo-for-cocoa-puffs chunni archer cosplaying as a normal person at Christmas.
Hours are insane, the work is leaving me exhausted and sore, and I am being traumatized by cardboard.
For those who do not know, I work for a major U.S. shipping company. This is the time of year that the company makes most of it's profit. it's profit is evenly divided between money and the despair and anguish of it's workers which serve to feed the psychic vampires that now run the corporation.
Not that I'm the least bit bitter or demoralized.
Anyway, I'm getting gel shots in my knees and those seem to have greatly helped. The cartilage in them is GONE and there was concern that surgery would be required. It now does not look like that will be the case.
I get my last gel shot in this series on Thursday and see the Urologist on Friday to see if I will need surgery on my kidneys again.
Other than that I seem to be OK health-wise. I'm mostly recovered from my stroke, though I have noticed slowing and occasional slurring of speech during my Twitch Streams. My recent check-ups were good so I am racking that scuff up to exhaustion. I've considered a hiatus, but the discipline of taking while tired can only help my recovery...(I hope). the downside is that I occasionally sound drunk, despite being a teetotaler.
Depending on how the surgery news goes I intend to retire next year. Then I'm unsure of my next step. I might do a stint in Antarctica working as a cook, I might pursue my pre-2020 plans of teaching in Japan or I might go to Texas and work at Buckeys...THE SKY'S THE LIMIT!
I do intend to post here more regularly. Life's been hectic and I apologize for the dead air.
I hope everyone is having a very Merry Christmas or a happy whatever you celebrate this Holiday Season.
Take care!

You are a college graduate now, aren't you? Surely that can be helpful. Although it's in vogue to say that a diploma is unnecessary nowadays, it was not true. I switched jobs 4 months ago, and they asked for diploma (which, in my case, is all in Russian; in fact, it's hand-written on the special forgery-resistant paper and stamped, just to make it harder to read).
