Trigger Warning: Banality
Yes, banality lurks below the fold.
I've been transferred to a new facility at my job, the up side of this is that it takes me 7 minutes to drive there, the down-side is that this is appears to be an experimental facility to see just how austere a delivery center can be. It consists of 4 trailers in the now no longer quite paved parking lot of an abandoned manufacturing facility in the woods. I'm told that this was originally going to be a temporary Christmas facility, but that this seems to be no longer the case. Things have been hectic as we have been trying to get everything to work right. Surprisingly though, our facility was the only one in the area not badly affected by the recent storm.
As is traditional here, we atone for this by providing an image of some exotic and atypically proportioned young ladies enjoying the last of the good weather as they relax next to the ocean.

About three weeks ago, my brother and sister-in-law had a scare when their first child was almost stillborn. An emergency Caesarean saved him but he was, and has been, quite ill and my sister-in-law has had a rough time as well. There has been much shuttling of the parents 200 miles to my brother's house in the mountains. My nephew is terrifyingly small, three weeks on he's still less than six pounds. He does seem to be improving however.
Compared to that, my issues are mere annoyances.
Japanese is kicking my behind this semester, in no small part because I missed more than a week due to work issues and the scare over my nephew. I'm quite lost and so will be hitting the library shortly to cram some more. The two courses I needed that were cancelled have definitely been rescheduled for next semester, so I'll be graduating in May, barring a nuclear war or something.
Which, curiously enough, reminds me that blogging has been further affected by less banal current events.
Finally, the internet connection here has been sketchy this week, no doubt because of the storm, so you tube and crunchyroll load when they damned well want to...
Anyhow, I'm off to the campus, I anticipate the content drought to continue through the middle of the week, at least.

Providing us with the free ice cream of sweet, sweet blogging content is not personally imperative upon you.
Graduating your butt, keeping a roof over your head and food in your belly, and taking care of family -- those are the important things.
<hugs>
On the bright side, it sounds like that delivery facility would make a great start for a horror movie, or a cute space opera book where the aliens are trying hard to fit in as managers.

On my way through Tonopah, Nevada, I made a little detour to check out their airport, when a little twin landed there. People in UPS uniforms unloaded stuff from it into 3 miniature UPS trucks. It appears that the family of the airport manager actually lives in the old pilot's lounge. At least they have electricity.
