The Odds of Broadcasts From Ross 128

...are a million to one they said



Ross 128 is a tad under 11 light years away, and is currently the 12th closest star to Earth. There are some (as yet unconfirmed) indications of a gas giant or brown dwarf in orbit around it.

2 That is the reference yes. Note that there are, at this time, no indications of any culinary enchiridion in the signals from Ross 128. But that doesn't mean we should be complacent.
