I don't follow Hololive closely, but i'm vaguely familiar with it.
...has been showing up rather a lot and I was wondering if it was just some freaky meme or some fan reaction to canon.

All the HoloEN girls got new outfits just recently, and both Gura and Kiara evolved into cats. Well, Gura is a catfish and Kiara is a catbird.
Actually that's two new outfits, because for April Fools' they all got chibi versions of themselves as fully-rigged Live2D avatars.
