1 That's a big bore on that thing. I wonder what they loaded it with. Maybe it's a shotgun?

2 A common size for flintlock ammunition was .68 or .69, which is the same size as a large paintball load.  That looks about right.  The gun itself looks to be about 14" long, so that would more or less make sense.
