Annoyances...To do list...General Banality

While things are going OK...they are  hectic...and occasionally surprising. I'm not likely to blog much this weekend so as compensation here is an accurate representation of what it would look like if 3 x24 foot high  loli-goth giantettes were to steal a P61-B and go for a night combat joy ride....guns blazing

Which is far more interesting than the Brickmuppet banality which is tastefully hidden below the fold.
I'm coming up on the last 2 days of Coast Guard duty....for a month. I had very few boardings in these 3 weeks...which was odd and annoying as I need some to get my sign offs...On the other hand there was a tremendous amount of admin scutt work and running around, plus I got to do some things with other departments..... This weekend looks quite busy.

Annoyances have cropped up...my passport application has gone down the memory hole...so given the current backup there is much scrambling....as  I have a possible opportunity to go to Japan in August...if everything meshes right.
This means more dealing with summer Hampton Roads Traffic...which got completely out of hand yesterday thanks to a little ... bomb scare....

A lot of my time will be spent fixing up some limb, wind and water damage at the trailer, which suffered while I was away. I have to fix the washer which seems to just be a counterweight...but it is a pain and on top of that, it's time to Kool-Seal the roof again. The grass is turning into trees.
Fortunately, as I work early mornings at UPS, I'll have most of the day free after around 9AM or so to whip things into shape. This is welcome as much of the work I did on the floor a few months ago was undone by a leaking washing machine pipe...due to unbalanced loads...grrr...(kicks self).

I have to finish the bathroom floor and generally get things presentable. Aside from yardwork and repairs, my to do list is as follows
   Get Passport photos
Finish paying University (will take 3 weeks)
   Pay last 3 medical bills.
Set up tuition assistance for fall with Coast Guard
Go to DC next Friday, turn in Passport stuff
Start studying Japanese again...I've gotten waaaay out of practice this month.
Get new CG uniforms....get dress uniform tailored.
Study for  2 Coast Guard Qualifications boards
    Study for second class test.
Restart my excersize  regimen....which has taken a back seat to guarding the coast these 3 weeks.
Get silent Phantom of the Opera DVD back to Pulpjunkie.
    Fix Mac
Reinstall cable, landline, and high speed internet.
    Do parents yard/gutters/ ivy.
    Clean out Sailboat....name same....find mast....find sail....learn to sail.
Get new tires on pickup of peril.

Of course the list is not in order as to priority (which varies wildly)
Note the mention of the sailboat....
Acquiring the sailboat was kinda cool, but it remains to be seen how much $$$ a discarded Navy Daysailer without a mast will take to get in shape....the budget is tight.

I need to get  new rubber bands for my speargun.

OTOH, within a few weeks, I'll again be largely out of debt. The Japan trip will only work if my tuition assistance come through, as the tuition difference is the actual budget for the trip....and I'm not touching the 401K for a vacation. Still, It is a really good opportunity if I can swing it.

Sailboat....contemplating world travel...

And soon I'll have a bathroom floor!

Life can be cool ...even if one must balance carefully.
