Uncertainties

Unpleasant banality resides below the fold, here's something much more pleasant by Noba (support him on Fanbox)

After I fell and scrapped my arm yesterday I fully expected to go back to work this morning, but late last night I started urinating vast quantities of blood. It was much darker than is usual, but I'm passing two stones at the moment and bleeding happens with the kidney stones so I was squicked out but not worried, until it repeated again and again and again, until it wasn't so much bloody urine as blood with presumed urine in it.

I called in and went to the doctor today.

Well....I virtually attended a doctor's appointment via Zoom.

The urinalysis consisted of me holding up a mason jar that was opaque to a flashlight behind it.

After some back and forth, both the doctor and I decided to bet on a kidney infection. I'm on antibiotics and if it doesn't clear up then I go to the Urologist where they'll put me in a bubble examine me and probably send me to the hospital to get treated and no doubt receive the wuflu.

Getting Zoom set up took an inordinately long time as did waiting at the drug store drive through where my van overheated.

All in all it's been a sucky day.

The bleeding has not let up much, and I must say that it is quite demoralizing.

I'm actually weak, both from loss of blood and lack of sleep.

Thank you all for your readership and input over the last 18 years.

I do hope to continue.

8 This does sound bad, but I hope Brick's parents can get him an ambulance at least.

9 Heh. I'm perfectly capable of calling an ambulance. I've got good health insurance, a decent paying job and its not like I have 10-16,000 dollars of college tuition to pay any more, so I'm not really poor. In fact I only  have a fairly small loan to finish paying off and then I'm free.
