Oh Thank God
Our long national facepalm is over.
Given the amount of wackadoodle numbnuttery the birfers antics were inflicting on those of us on the right, I do wonder why he released it today. Perhaps he needs to distract from some new calamity he's caused, or perhaps he's just sick of the nonsense.
This asshattery has been a bad thing all around. Making the almost unobtainable COLB the standard for identification is silly. In fact a regular birth certificate and two forms of ID should suffice for anything not requiring a security clearance. I'm glad this idiocy is over 'cause if this anal retentiveness the birthers insist upon were to become precedent for everyone it could cause all kinds of issues for people. Oh wait...

The "Corsi's book" referred to is the huckster Jerome Corsi's book about Obama's lack of a birth certificate.Apparently Corsi's book will make terrific arguments about Obama's lack of a birth certificate, so strong that they will overcome the fact that Obama does actually have birth certificate.

Scenario: you get pulled over by a cop.
Cop demands to see your driver's license and registration.
You say "I don't think I want you to see those--- but here's a photograph of me standing in front of the DMV with the officer who gave me my driver's test! See? There's the proof.. you don't need to see my driver's license."
Obama spent three years doing JUST THAT to the American people. People start asking questions, instead of just showing us the birth certificate, he seals it up-- along with pretty much every official document and transcript of the first 30 years of his life.
Now, that makes those of us with an IQ higher than an eggplant 1)upset 2)reasonably suspicious. But what's more upsetting is that our fellow citizens are standing there watching Obama pull this shell game like a hayseed at a game of 3 card Monty, slapping their money down by the fistful and calling the BIRTHERS "paranoid" and "conspiracy nuts" for saying something's crooked about the card dealer.
Most of us aren't questioning the validity of his birth location. We're questioning what the hell he was up to doing all this paper burying in the first place.

Now, of course, he could have released it sooner if civics was his motivation. It was not.
This whole thing was a rope-a-dope intended to discredit his oposition.
There is a reason that MSNBC was pushing the birther story stronger than the other news networks, and it is not journalistic standards.
