Gainfully Employed
Well, regards the blood pressure fiasco....I figured out that all of my blood pressure spikes ( which have been associated with surgeries and injuries...but then cleared up) have all coincided with my being on anti-inflammatory pain killers.
So, I stopped taking the pain killer I had been prescribed and LO! the BP cleared up...er...or down rather.
As opposed to being on the other medications, the side effects of not taking the pain killer were pretty straightforward and consisted pain, pain and a bit more pain. Thus, because I had to pass the full physical at work, I was out rather longer.
Well Friday I passed the physical, BP was 132 over 83 which is still a bit high but I can now work without opening UPS to lawsuits or buying ridiculously expensive pills....and at 3:00 AM tomorrow morning I go to work....just as the holiday hell is starting.
It is not a day too soon, I've worked 2.5 weeks since July ( There was a vacation involved) Japan, College, utilities and diesel fuel have all cost far more than expected, so I'm just about tapped.
I'm hoping to pass the USCG physical in November and get off of convalescent leave.
School has been kicking my ass but I made it through exams by the skin of my teeth. As an aside...more than 2 months into the semester the last book for my Kanji class finally arrived. (WTF?)
I'm off to study some more, then bed.
