The implications of this are just beginning to fully register, specifically the fact that....
HOLY FREAKING CRAP!!! I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO JAPAN!!!
I should, you know, pack or something.
This morning I had another flat tire on I664. As I was changing it the highway assistance people showed up. This was welcome as the blinky lights dissuaded anyone from turning me into an overage student road pizza, but I was largely finished by the time the truck arrived.
Most disturbing was his surprise that I knew how to change said tire. It seems he'd changed 5 over the course of the weekend. Yeesh!
Before you leave, how about going into the management frame here and disabling comments so that your place doesn't become a spam magnet while you're gone?
Between the box tsunami that is Harry Potter and the short-handedness resulting from vacations and "summeritis" UPS has been a zoo. I'm tired of work and fearful of something happening in the next few days to botch the trip. I've still a zillion things to do.
7 days till I leave for Japan... I just...
I know I really shouldn't go on about this... ...so I'll let this here imaginary grrrl do it. Take it away Tomo...
For future reference, you may want to avoid using foreign characters in your post titles. Minx chokes and can't create a direct link to the post. Try adding a comment to (or even click into) your テスト post.
Oh, and ãŠã‚ã§ã¨ã†.

Aha. It's working as designed. It's just that there's a tiny flaw in the design.
Minx generates individual entry URLs from the post title, but to avoid generating invalid URLs it strips out anything other than the usual alphanumeric characters and allowed punctuation. So accented letters and non-Latin characters won't be included in the URL. If the entire title is in Japanese, it can't generate an individual entry URL at all.
Two ways to fix this.
1. In the options section for the post, you can manually update the post URL. 2. I can tweak the code so that in such a case, the system generates a numeric URL based on the post ID, like... so. If you now edit and save the post, this should take effect.
I once aerosolized hot pepper sauce in a careless cooking moment. My thought process (I use the phrase loosely) went something like "Hmm, sometimes it's nice to lightly sautee herbs and spices when you start cooking. I'll try sauteeing this Cholula hot sauce and see how that works." For a second, I quite seriously thought I'd just killed myself, but it got better.
