Testing 1...2...3...4 Is This Thing Even ON?
Below the fold festers banality.
This surgery was FAR more difficult than the first. Pain and general discomfort were much greater, as was the recovery from the anesthesia. I assume this was due to the stones that had grown into the kidney.
As compensation, above the fold is...well....a Fontainian, um, asstrologer being relatable to me.
It was rough.
I have not worked at my day job since the end of December. I will definitely not be retiring last month as planned.
I had hoped to get 4 days of work in before the latest surgery, but the stent/catheter moved that Sunday night and I was graced with an annoying combination of pain and incontinence for most of the week. (My last few streams were punctuated by multiple breaks for accessing the little streamers room).
I have 2 surgeries to pay for, I DO have insurance, nonetheless....2 surgeries.
BUT:
I have a return to work note for next Monday!
I will get to find out how just over 2 months of bedrest and 12 pounds of weight gain have prepared me for a physical warehouse job.
I can start making money again.
Yesterday, I got the stent/catheter removed, which was an unpleasant outpatient procedure that went quite smoothly. On the way back home my car's AC died, so there's that, but I'm finally free of that damn stent, and for the first time in years I'm not in constant, intermittent pain.
Yay!
I have a HUGE amount of stuff to catch up on, not the least of which is yard work, but my world is no longer constrained by the distance between the bedroom and bathroom.
And I don't hurt.
Posting will be slow for a bit but it will resume presently.
