I didn't put in any pictures, center anything or use an animated .gif inside the spoiler tag of the last post and yet the spoiler tag put every bit of text that was inserted into it, on the outside.

If you're using IE to compose your post, and you are in a spoiler tag, use Shift-Enter for new lines, not straight Enter.
A straight Enter closes a paragraph and opens a new one. Shift-enter adds a break and doesn't close the paragraph.
As the result of a change made to Pixy's code last year, a spoiler tag (or a hide tag) can only contain one paragraph.
