What in the Hell?

ACE has an on running quiz feature focused on identifying relatively obscure firearms. This one has me utterly flummoxed.....

What in the hell?

A 16+shot double barreled revolver!? And how does one unload it? ThereThere is a little pin at the forward end of the cylinder, that hints at an extractor rod, but it doesn't  look like a break top or swing out cylinder. If it were a muzzle loader there should be a rammer or something.

One of the commenter's mentions a  Lefaucheux revolver, which it does bear a similarity to...but damn this is a weird one.

2 Sorry, I had no idea what this was before I saw the Steven's link.

3 I was stumped as well, although it did remind me a bit of the Confederate LeMat mentioned in SDBs link, although that obviously wasn't the answer.

Useless trivia note - if you are a fan of Firefly, you may have noticed that Jayne happens to have a LeMat in his arsenal...

It's the third gun in that post.

The first one (which isn't it) is the LeMat. The second one (which isn't it) is the Howdah pistol.

The third one (which is it) is a "20 shot revolver was manufactured by the French firm of Henrion, Dassy & Heuschen (HDH) from 1911 to 1928." Scroll down.
