1 I was surprised at how quickly the bullet started veering off its initial trajectory.  I new 5.56 mm bullets veered right away after impact with even soft "tissue", but thought the .50 had a lot more inertia, and would stay straight for several more eggs than it did.

2 I don't think it was veering off. I think his aim was poor.

3 Well, that and he needs to mount his target to something solid.  The board was jumping all over the place.

7 I would guess that peep armor would have to be, what, five feet deep?  And if it was *going* to just miss you, the armor would be just as likely to guide the bullet right into your center-of-mass.
