Upon Reflection, There's Very Little Reason for Anyone to Look Below the Fold on this Post

All there is down there is quick update on my Walter Mitty lifestyle, whereas above the fold there's a half-elf in a maid outfit.

My parents came back about two weeks ago. Actually, they showed up several hours after I posted this and in the ensuing chaos, I thought I'd mentioned it.

Dad brought back a dislocated shoulder to go with his broken foot and mom had a health scare shortly after they got back.

One of our neighbors decided that they needed to report my parent's RV trailer as being a code violation. My parents trailer has been here for 14 years between infrequent trips and this was never an issue before, but it seems that there is an ordinance that all vehicles must be on pavement. This would normally be a quick fix except that it had rained for three weeks and walking through the yard resulted in sinking up to one's ankles..

Anyway, after plowing the yard with the RV, I set about to doing yard work.

Work has been about average for this time of year, the mothers day rush being fairly obnoxious. I've been busy with my collateral duties at work as well ( I handle safety compliance).

The parent's initial plan was to leave again this week, after some repairs and refitting but some of the equipment that needed to be repaired required doctors appointments, which, along with other obligations have conspired to keep them here.

Flickering power has caused me to loose three posts.

I still am having issues with Crunchyroll, but I think the issues are browser related.

The storms we have had included a hailstorm which required some (thankfully minor) repairs.

I've managed to injure my knee, which has made it quite painful to sit at my desk. I'm not sure HOW I injured it, but it was a major issue last week. It's getting better, and oddly enough gives me little issue walking or laying down. This is fortuitous as all the medical bills from my surgery earlier in the year have arrived in the last three weeks

The last week has been spent keeping tabs on a friend of 25 years who is in the hospital about 40 miles from here. I spent a good chunk of the weekend on that side of the water, However, he cannot see visitors now. His situation is looking to be life changing...which really puts all of my silly foo-foo first world problems mentioned above into perspective.

1 Ouch,  When it rains it pours.  Hopefully you get some sunny skies again soon.  Hang in there.

2 I hate Neighborhood Code Nazis. I think they get off on the power sans responsibility they get from anonymously reporting on people.

3 Your knee... it sounds much like what I've been going through for the past decade or so.  If it is, a good way to keep the pain at bay is to keep flexing the knee.

Unless that causes it to hurt, in which case, don't do that.

4 If your knee seems to be hurting for no reason, check both sides of your leg, your ankle, etc. Tightness in other parts of the leg can be transferred to the knee.

5 Actually, any muscle anywhere being messed up by bad posture, repetitive activity, bad ergonomics, etc., can cause other muscles a lot of pain.
But then again, you could have just slept wrong. Knees are weird.

6 Out of curiosity, what Crunchyroll issues are you having?  It stopped working for me, and gave me an error telling me to install the latest version of Flash...

7 I gave up on the Crunchy on desktop and only use the mobile app.
