An Actual Conversation

Andrew Yang, (One of the Democrat's surfeit of presidential candidates) actually sits down with Ben Shapiro and discusses policy and they have a long polite discussion about his proposals. While I don't agree with him on a couple of points, and strongly disagree regarding internet regulation, Yang actually seems mostly sane as he presents and defends his positions.

Its a sad commentary on our civics that this interview is worthy of note.

NO! NO! NO! NO! Don't Do It Dev!

Dev is offering to open this can if he gets 100,00 subscriptions, aparrently being unaware of botulism. While I'm sure he won't eat it, it's under pressure and a botulism bomb can kill. Fortunately, his comments are displaying an atypical unity of opinion on this matter.

Better Footage of the Starhopper Hopping

Albeit very brief footage.

One of The Brickmuppet's Crack Team of Science Babes brings us analysis of the test.

"What's to analyze? There was a rocket test.
Unfortunately, the apparent evaporation of the webcam resulted in damned unsatisfying footage of the associated 'splody. So here's some completely unrelated non-chemical 'splody."

"Science Babe" is actually unrepresentatively SFW art by Saori. One can support her Pixiv Fanbox page here.

Momentary Meta-Blogging

No.
Your comments were not deleted (well except for that ONE guy).
I deleted some spam comments and the last 4 legit comments are now missing from the sidebar. They show up as existing in my comments folder and they remain visible in the associated posts.
In the interests of reciprocity and justice, at this time we have assigned blame to the government of New Zealand  pending an actual analysis of the metadata.

I'd have assumed it'd be way more expensive.

I guess you have to bring your own spacesuit.

Starhopper Hops

A short tethered hop, but a hop nonetheless.

First World Problems

I've been working on, among other things, a few reports for school and was poking away on the computer in the library yesterday when an alert popped up on the screen informing me that time was up and I really needed to switch to two factor authentication. So I saved everything and went through the menu and then learned something.

Two factor authentication requires that one has one's phone on one's person.

This will not be news to most people, but it was a revelation to me. As I was just going to be in the library, I'd left the phone at home.
Because phones are distractions.
So I was being good.
Except for the part that two factor involves the school computer system texting me a seven digit code after I log in....so that I can then log in...quickly.....before getting locked out of my account.

After getting this resolved I noted that there is an option to only have to enter the texted code once every 5 days. I don't know how that doesn't defeat the purpose of two factor authentication, but I took it.

Actually, one can check that option off, but it is a service that aparrently is not actually offered...I pondered this today, as I walked back to my car to get my phone.

At work things have been hectic.
We have 34 people on my shift and have had 10 or more absent most days recently. This is not actually due to failings by the company.

PRO-TIPS (from two weeks of observations): For anyone under 30 who wants a job in the shipping industry.
(these apply to over 30s too, but I don't think this information is needed in that area)

"I was up drinking all night" Is not a valid excuse for an absence.
"I'm tired and its 4 AM" is not valid either, more-so when the start time was 03:30.
Showing up 90 minutes late WILL, in fact, get you counted as late.
Calling and saying "I'm going be a few minutes late" and then going back to bed and not going to work at all, is NOT, in fact, the same as coming to work.
"Oh. My. God. There's a wasp!" when the wasp is 75 feet away on the ceiling in a warehouse where no one can reach it is not "unsafe conditions"
Furthermore it does not authorize you to evacuate the building.
And go home.
And no, the Shop Steward is not a "Pinkerton" for not backing you up on this particular idiocy.

I hopes this helps. In the meantime, stay off my lawn.

Come to think of it.
How do any of these Millennial Mountebanks even know what a "Pinkerton" is enough to use it in context?

On the other hand, despite it all, the trucks all got out on time. (Though I was late to class Wednesday).

Some Cultural Appropriation

Insincere apologies to the unique and alien cultures of China, San Francisco, South Korea, and Australia.

We'd apologize to John Carpenter and the Shaw Brothers too, but the blog is just embedding these videos and is not responsible for their creation.

Testing the Blog's New Bitchute and You-Tube Embeds

For others who blog on mee.nu, the how to-post on this is here.

Pixy has a You-Tube embed as well. It's of fading utility as most of the cool, interesting people are getting banned.

However, most is not all...

...so it's still a useful tool.

Believe It or Not

It appears that after getting inadvertently "outed" on the air about a month ago, and not being seen or spoken of since,  the individual we shall refer to here as Trappy McTrap Cat was NOT kicked off the show, but has merely had a scheduling conflict and today responded to the polite and supportive expressions of concern left in the You Tube comments.

What makes this story particularly hard to believe is the notion of polite and supportive You Tube comments.

We Have Noted That There's a Bad Side to Everything, but It Should be Remembered That Not Everything Has a Good Side,

Take this for instance.

Why are we paying through the nose and putting our troops on the line to defend these asinine aristocratic authoritarians?

Leave them to the Russians

In Which We Do Some Fact Checking

Remember. If you want to you can always just "Google it."
Oh.

Google search is hiding auto-completed text related to the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis.

Well, we here at Brickmuppet Blog figured this would be not just prudent but easy to fact check, so as of 22:18 EST we found that while the autofill function produced almost the same results as claimed, the algorithms had, apparently been tweaked...slightly.

Oh dear.

Fortunately, after about three clicks of further digital gumshoeing, it appears that that first result is just a meme and not an actual product like these.

...because subscription notifications on You-Tube have been quite sketchy of late.

Fun fact: Kiwifarms is not associated with New Zealand, Kiwi birds or Kiwi fruit.

It's a discussion of what's been transpiring in the bizarre race by certain Commonwealth nations to pass every legislative and regulatory initiative that the Christ Church butcher stated that he wanted.

As well as more generalized stupidity.

For your convenience, here's a shorter version of the video.

Status Update

It appears that our posts are being lost between chair and keyboard and we have decided that this is due to tachyon interference from transmissions emitted by the Dero from far beneath the Earth's crust in an attempt  to break the tyrannical hold on their third and fourth chakras that is being exercised by the Shapeshifting Reptoids from Draco who have taken refuge with the Antarctic Space Nazis in the hollow Earth after having to abandon their forward operating base in Cydonia after the Greys razed it with ortillery to prevent the Reptoid's and Nazi's joint (and evil) plan for global domination from interfering with the Greys' seedy and completely illicit fetish tourism and surprisingly lucrative manipulation of local (Terran) cattle futures.

It is possible that the situation may be more or less complicated than that, but further investigation is needed and in any event things are hectic here, so we've decided to conclude this second rambling run-on-sentence with a picture of Grea who is a shining example of the societal virtues facilitated by hybrid vigor (and who has probably appeared in more TV series than any other half-dragonette).

Oh Wow. Look at All the Positive Feedback I'm Getti.....Oh.

Greetings gentle reader, we are working diligently to keep our comments free of salt, water, modified potato starch, sugar, sodium nitrite, pork and.......ham.
So, as I run down the ingredients on a can of SPAM,
I note the ingredients list both pork AND ham.
The world is all muddled,
and I am befuddled
so I'll just throw up my hands and scream "Damn!"

While I contemplate this conundrum, here is a period panorama by Pochi.

Pochi's blog is here and you can purchase Pochi pictures here.
